HR Smart’s Chosen Charity Receives Incredible News!
As you may know by now, HR Smart’s chosen charity that the Company supports is Adur Special Needs Project based in Shoreham-By-Sea. Over the years, Jon and I are very proud of the work that we, our fellow Trustees and the Playscheme team have achieved in making it an invaluable and sustainable charity.
So What’s The News?
Our Charity was contacted by the Ernest Hecht Charitable Foundation earlier in the year to find out more about what we do and our philosophy of helping Special Educational Needs and Disabled children in the Adur area. Last month, we received a communication to say that the Foundation had been able to secure funding for us and was willing to give us a grant for our work to be able to continue. This grant happened to be an awful lot more than we were expecting!
So How Do We Plan to Spend The Grant?
The Trustees have decided to do something completely different in terms of fun activities for SEND children. We are setting up an arts, drama and music workshop in 2024 that aims to invite children between the ages of 8 and 15 years of age to join us for a term of Saturdays. The objective is to create a show at the end of the sessions for the children’s friends and family to attend to showcase the children’s talents.
How Can You Help?
If you know of any drama students musicians or art teachers that live around the Adur area may want to get involved, please put them in touch with Heidi at chair@adurspecialneedsproject.org.uk. Heidi would be only too pleased to have a chat to see how they may be able to realise our objective.
