Adur & Worthing Councils will be joining us to update on the three schemes open to local businesses

Small Business Growth Grant

The Small Business Growth Grant will once again become available to local micro businesses. Grants 50% match funded (exclusive of VAT).

You must be able to demonstrate how the project will develop your business and what difference it will make. Criteria will be announced in due course.

Apprenticeship Grants

The Apprenticeship Grant is available to individual businesses of up to 50 employees. A one off payment (TBC) per apprentice is available towards the cost of taking on an apprentice.

Apprenticeship Levy

COUNCILS TO FUND SMALL BUSINESSES APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING COSTS Apprenticeships were given a boost after Adur & Worthing Councils launched a scheme to fund more posts. Small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) could have the opportunity to have the cost of the apprentice’s training funded by the Councils in a bid to support the numbers available.

Gigabit

Ultrafast broadband is coming to our area. Adur & Worthing Councils are promoting the government-backed gigabit voucher scheme which provides companies up to £2500 off the cost of connecting their workplaces to internet speeds of up to 1,000 mbps.

The ultrafast technology can provide many benefits to companies, including:

• Use multiple video conferencing systems at any one time;
• Make the best use of Cloud-based Business Applications such as file back-ups, real time collaboration, instant messaging and security features;
• Upload and download massive data files in a matter of seconds;
• Stream live web content instantly

Accessing the voucher system, which is part of a £67 million national scheme, is simple. CityFibre are going to update you on the current build and when services will be available from Enta.net re-sellers in Adur and Worthing
