Annual General Meeting (AGM)
It's that time of year again!
We would like to invite you to come along and join us for our 2019 Annual General Meeting

Date: Wednesday 8th May 2019
Time: 5:30pm - Registration and buffet, 6:00pm - Prompt AGM proceedings followed by speakers, Gillian Fielding - Chamber Patron & Martin Randall - Dir. Economy AWBC
Venue: The Dome, Marine Parade Worthing BN11 3PT
Buffet and refreshments will be served. A cash bar will be available.

Our thanks go to Chris Coopey who has been the President for the past two years and is stepping down to move to pastures new. The election of a new President is in progress and will be ratified at the AGM.

This year's speakers are Gillian Fielding, Secret Millionaire and Chamber Patron and Martin Randall. Director for the Economy for Adur & Worthing Councils

Once again we will be joined by Gillian Fielding, Secret Millionaire and Chamber Patron Gillian has her finger on the pulse of the financial world and will provide us with her views of the wider economy and as always gives an entertaining and inspiring talk.  Gill is a naturally gifted presenter and a dynamic, humorous and motivational speaker who appears regularly on television and radio programmes and in the national newspapers. We always appreciate her support and input as our patron. Gill will discuss the current issues affecting the larger economy and the individual SME business owner. I will be outlining both why Brexit is really important and why it matters not a jot! And more importantly what we can all do about it. Somewhere in the presentation there will also be a child’s game for us all to play – come and see what it is!

Martin Randall, Director for the Economy for Adur and Worthing Council will give an update of current projects and the local economy. Martin will cover the progress of potential developments in our area which are in line with the councils economic strategy. This is to create a place that is the preferred choice for businesses to locate in, for people to live in and visitors to enjoy.  Martin's remit is to recognise opportunities and meet the challenges to achieve this.
