Managing Director of Entertaining & Hospitality, Goodwood

Andrew Coggings is MD of Entertaining and Hospitality at Goodwood, having joined in early 2017. He is responsible for all of the 365 businesses at Goodwood, including the hotel, House, private member’s club, luxury private lodge, motor circuit catering, event catering, golf, shoot and the farm.

He studied hotel management at Blackpool College and subsequently spent a number of years overseas running hotels in Dubai, South Africa and Malaysia. Before joining Goodwood Andrew owned a pub and restaurant business in Brighton for 10 years and was the recipient of The Most Sustainable Pub in The UK Award from The SRA.

Andrew will be joining us to talk about how the Goodwood Estate is getting back to business.

Helen Bailey is MD of Aviatrix, a strategic research consultancy based in Brighton.  Helen has a 30+ year career in hospitality as an owner, operator and adviser and is a strategic advisor to SME’s and travel and hospitality companies including St Austell Brewery and P&O Ferries.

Helen is passionate about using insight to drive change in people and businesses.  Using innovative research tools to gather data on employee and customer attitudes and behaviour Aviatrix model and interpret the trends to guide strategy and ultimately confident decision-making for their clients. 

Helen will share her insights on the trends we need to pay attention to in the coming year and what we can learn from the last 18 months to help us plan for the future.

A former model, manager and counsellor, Karen is not a typical football club board director. But then Lewes is not a typical football club. Owned by the community, it’s the first club in the World to split the playing budget equally between its men's and women's teams.

At the Better Business show, she’ll be talking about the history of the club, of women’s football, and her own journey as a women in business who has worked tirelessly for equality and diversity in the business world.
