  Chris Piper:
  Chris has been Agent for Central Southern England since April 2009 having previously worked in the Agency network when the Bank opened the Agency for Wales in the late 1990’s. He has extensive experience in several areas of the Bank’s responsibilities having contributed over many years. After the Bank was given independence for monetary policy, he led the development of support for the monetary policy process specializing in IT and business process improvement.   Chris has spent the last few years listening to hundreds of business leaders and businesses across the South of England as part of his role to assess business conditions and to brief the Monetary Policy Committee.

• Adur & Worthing Food and Drink Festival

  Feeding on the success of the first Adur & Worthing Food and Drink Festival in 2012 this yummy event is back from 5th to 14th July and is bigger and better for 2013.
  
  This year the focal point in Worthing will be a 60m x 12m marquee on Steyne Gardens which ensures whatever the weather it will be a really great weekend for food, drink and culture.  Discussions are being held with a top celebrity chef to headline our cooking exhibitions on Sunday 7th July as another new attraction for this year’s event.
  
  Over in Adur the annual Chilli Festival on Coronation Green and the Farmers Market in Shoreham will draw in the crowds.
  
  If you run a food and drink related business within Adur or Worthing why not take the opportunity to be involved in the 2013 Festival!  There are lots of ways for you to get involved, help promote your business and become part of this great event.
  
  Our extensive marketing programme* aims to encourage visitors to Adur and Worthing and top last year’s 5,000 people who came along.

Fellow attendees can take your cards and leave their cards in your pouch for contact to be made. Please remember to collect your pouch and any cards left before leaving the event.
